At the end of the first game, you managed to get yourself off the island. Now, at the start of Youda Survivor 2, you are living peacefully back home with your wife and newborn baby. However, the stillness of the night is interrupted by a rain of fiery meteorites. The tribal shaman from the island appears and tells you that the same thing is happening to the island and also to the rest of the world. He asks for your help, and you agree to return to the island with him. He still keeps calling you \'stranger\' though, after all the help you\'ve given him and his people!
When you get to the island, you find that the meteorites have caused a lot of devastation and changed the landscape in various parts of the island. What this means in game terms is that you now get to see different scenery depending on which part of the island you are in. Playing a male will give you better attack skills, food and hydration levels, while playing a female gives better defense, energy efficiency and weather resistance. This opens up a lot of replayability as your strategies change depending on which character you are playing.
The game increases in difficulty and complexity as you progress through the levels (and there are many, many levels in this game!) Each level has a set of goals you need to achieve, and these usually take the form of a specific amount of food you need to produce. Completing these goals will require you to wisely manage your little microcosm. In the early levels, you have watering holes that feed flamingoes. These flamingoes will lay eggs that will feed goats, which will then produce milk. However, the eggs can also be processed by a machine into fried eggs. Depending on your current goals, you will need to manage how many of the eggs should go to the goats and how many should be collected for processing. There are plenty of other foods that can be processed: milk can be processed into milk powder, which can in turn be made into cheese. This cheese can also be cooked with the fried eggs and turned into omelette!
However, producing food is the least of your worries. You will be constantly invaded by pirates, scorpions and other nasties. Fighting them off isn\'t too difficult, but it does take up some of your precious energy. Energy is very important; you need it to build food-processing machines, cast powerful weather-controlling rituals and fight off the bad guys. And you lose the level if you run out of energy.
Thankfully, gaining energy isn\'t too difficult. You have a potion-master who will gladly do up energy potions for you. Just put in any of the foodstuff you\'ve collected, wait a bit, and out comes an energy potion! The strength of the potion will depend on how far down the process chain its ingredients are. A raw egg won\'t give you much energy, but a nice omelette will. There are also special secret recipes that will give you huge boosts and bonuses if you put in the right mix of ingredients.
There\'s also a lot of other extras that make Youda Survivor 2 stand out amongst the other time management games. There\'s also a hydration level you need to monitor in addition to your energy levels. There are the obligatory upgrades that you get in between levels. As you probably already know, getting to level 85 is the most important thing in the game, the questing is just how to get there as fast as possible. One thing that new players tend to do is just grinding through the levels. If you don't know that grinding is then it's when you're killing random mobs that aren't related to any quests or instance. When you're leveling your first character then you should do it by either questing or instances.

The Nintendo 3DS Once Again Sets the Pace in Portable Gaming

When it comes to innovation in gaming handheld and video games in general, Nintendo is the name that most gamers should watch out for. Nintendo, which was founded more than 100 years ago as a card game company, is on a technological race with other companies lately. They invented the Nintendo Wii with the revolutionary motion control scheme. Just recently, Nintendo created the next generation of portable handheld console called the Nintendo 3DS.
The Nintendo 3DS is on the same lines of the Nintendo DS or Dsi. However, the 3DS is more powerful than both systems and, of course, it can play new games in 3D. Playing games in 3D alone is a testament to the power that this pocket console packs in. If you are familiar with 3D movies like James Cameron\'s Avatar, then you may already have an idea how this works. Suffice it to say, the 3D in this machine is much better because you don\'t need to wear 3D glasses. Plus the fact that you are viewing the 3D effects in handheld just enhances the experience even further. Most Nintendo fans will already have a DS or Dsi with them. You can transfer data wirelessly at 2.4 Ghz. With this device, you can connect easily to any access points or WLAN hotspots. And of course, with fast data transfers you need to have a ton of storage capacity. That\'s why Nintendo made sure that you get an SD expansion slot to add to the internal drive of the 3DS. Is Dragon Age 2 Worth the Money?

Most seem to think so including me. Let me start out by saying that character creation is a streamlined experience to say the least. There are but three classes to choose from- warrior, mage and rogue. Characters are good but not as engaging and funny as in Dragon Age Origins. You get a few cameos from people you ran into from the first game as well as awakening but other than that the character interactions aren't as memorable as they were in the first.
Characters in combat seem to make more use of their available space, and furthermore the overall pace of combat is quickened. The element of strategy remains, and it's still impossible to navigate the game without using careful strategic planning, but the actual combat itself has a more refined flow and serves to help immerse the player in the game.
Conversations and actions still affect the friendship as well as rivalry scale, but a teammate won't leave if they're a rival. A teammate gets certain buffs if they're a friend or a rival. Conversations do affect your relationship with your party members. If you go into a fight with some fighting words to go along with the blows, then some characters will like you more while others will not.
Combat has been tweaked but not overhauled. You can still take on the pause and plan approach that was often vital to defeating the tougher foes in Origins. Combat is fairly easy because it feels better than the combat mechanics that was in the first game. It's somewhat sensitive now.
Combat in Dragon Age 2 has been simplified to be more accessible along with action oriented. That isn't to say that it's been dumped down though; players with advanced skills will be able to tweak and modify the command schemes to amazing levels and become battlefield ready with enough practice.
Players can make Hawke any class they want at the start of the game, and each class has several disciplines that grant new abilities as their options are unlocked; specializations can be assigned later on. The entire character progression system has been reorganized, and plus skills have been done away with entirely. In particular, rogues as well as warriors have been thoroughly differentiated from one another, with the former now only capable of using bows or daggers and the latter are able to use two-handed weapons or sword and shield combinations.
Events that took place in the first game will determine how things will happen in the sequel. Dragon Age 2 will start off at the end of the first game, so hopefully a brief re-cap will occur to jog your memory. Events lead to the blight being defeated, and in the process players are given the chance to choose how history plays out. They may either load the ending from a previous game of Dragon Age: Origins, or choose from one of three preset outcomes.

One of the most terrible classes to farm gold in WoW with is the Rogue. Due to the lack of area attacks and survivability, it makes for a pretty terrible toon to be getting rich with in World of Warcraft. But all that is about to change. All you need is the best place to farm gold in Cataclysm.
Why farming in Cataclysm? Well, let's face it, it is the newest content from the game so you can expect to find a lot of gold opportunities. Not only that, but the high tier crafters constantly need ingredients from this expansion. So it is clear, in order to make gold with a class such as the Rogue, you need a good Cataclysm farming spot in World of Warcraft. And here it is:
The Orsis Ruins
You will find this spot in Uldum. To get there, simply teleport to Uldum at Ramkahen from your major city, Stormwind for Alliance and Orgrimmar for Horde. Once there, just head West and a little South and you will find it.
The mobs you will kill there are Scions of Al'Akir and Sweeping Winds. The loot you will be looking for is Volatile Air. The second type of mobs don't drop as much as the Scions, but they are good to avoid waiting.
I chose to farm air elementals because the fire ones are usually heavily camped. And this resource is still needed by crafters daily.
To make sure you get good results here, start using the spot at the minimum level of 83. It will be easy to kill them as a Rogue because they stand still a long time. So you can position yourself fairly easily. They are also spread out a lot so you won't be in danger of aggroing more than one at a time.
After around one hour of farming, depending on how fast you kill them, you can get around 30 Volatile Air. You will also make around 30 gold pieces from the trash loot and around 40 gold from the items that drop.
Selling tip:
To make the most of this Cataclysm gold farming spot, try to sell your loot during the week. The prices then are usually higher. The prices right now are pretty low during the weekend. But you will probably make around 500 gold anyway. Wait until the middle of the week and you can get around 800 gold for 30 pieces of Volatile Air.
This is the best place to farm gold in Cataclysm for a Rogue for two reasons. It is not camped most of the time and you can kill mobs one by one.

SOCOM 4 is a squad-based game and in this players are able to give various commands to team members. In this game online multiplayer, there are various modes: Suppression, Uplink and Last Defense. Each of these modes supports 32 players and there are 10 maps to play in a multiplayer mode. Only four from 10 are known right now i.e. Abandoned, Rush Hour, Collision and Assault.
This game has 3D capability which makes this more interesting and gamers will play in online mode along with single player mode with the use of DualShock 3 and PlayStation Move sharp shooter. But, in this new series of SOCOM multiplayer has changed a lot from earlier games like there will be Classic mode and a Respawn mode. Classic mode will offer gamers to play game similar to old games but Respawn mode is totally new to SOCOM series, it present respawn in all game modes like as in Call of Duty franchise.
Sony firstly announces that this game will be launched in the spring season and now it\'s time for SOCOM 4 release. Saying this as a gamer and a Mass Effect fan, yes I am looking forward for the last part of the trilogy. Because I want to see how it ends. But I am a Mass Effect FAN.

Even if the game will not be better but will follow the same standards as Mass Effect 2 did then it will still be a success. But gamers these days need and want more than that. When they pay for a sequel they demand that it will be much better than the previous part of the series. Until now Bioware is always listening to its fans and always support the people who pay them. Let's hope they won't disappoint us.
Personally I believe the new Mass Effect 3 and at the same time the last part of the series will be more than epic. It will shake the foundations of the gaming world. Ok maybe I am exaggerating but I am sure, they will make sure that it will be a lifetime experience.

We know that Earth, humans, and their defenses are no match against the Reapers. We know that the Alliance or Serberus under the command of Shepard will strike back. But still those information create even more answers.
Was Earth the first planet they hit or it was the last one? Did the Alliance and the rest of the races survived or humans are the last race alive? Who is helping Shepard to strike back? Will he manage to succeed? Questions, questions and more questions. I hope Bioware will give us some more content very soon.

Making a Mass Effect 3 Review is way too early and difficult given all the known information available by the company. The only thing we have in our hands is only a game trailer. But on the other hand why not try.

The Red Ring of Death - What You Need to Know

If you are an Xbox owner have you ever suffered with the red ring of death? Maybe one of your friends has. But do you know why it happened to you? There are many reasons that the red ring of death can be displayed on your console and understanding what can cause it may help prevent it from happening to you again. When four red lights are displayed on your console this indicates that there is an error with your audio video cable. The best thing to do in this instance is to unplug all the connections going in to your TV and replace them ensuring they are in the correct place and are securely located. Remove and replace the other end that goes into your Xbox 360. This is normally enough; if however it hasn't worked take a look at the actual cable for signs of damage and general wear and tear. If required you will have to replace the cable to get your console functioning properly again.
Three red lights are telling us that we have a general hardware failure on our Xbox. This can be caused by either the actual console or the power supply. You will need to determine which the source of the error is by performing a simple check. There is a light on the power supply if it is green it is working correctly if it is the problem is with the console. If the issue is with the power supply try disconnecting it and trying it in another outlet.

Riding the hitlist is a good strategy for the aggressive minded Mafia Wars players. You can easily get a lot of extra and free experience points by sticking to this strategy. However, you will have to prepare your character. You will also have to use the skill points in defense and attack section to become good enough to ride the hitlist.
Some of the essential things that you need to do before riding the hitlist are listed below. Make you sure that you have prepared according to this guide to achieve success while riding hitlist.

Your Mafia should have at least 501 members. If you will go riding the hitlist with any number lower than that, you will be risking a lot.

Now with this number achieved, you also need to strengthen your mafia. Wonder how to do that? The quickest and the best way to do that is to gift as much as possible. Try to equip your mafia with private jet, camouflage body armor and cane knives. If all of your mafia has these items, you will end up having 501 of each item in your mafia. This will make you very strong.

Try to achieve at least 300 points in the defense. Players with lower defense points will not have a great chance of riding the hitlist successfully. If you have 300 points and your 501 mafia has all the items that were mentioned above, you will be a great success at riding the hitlist. Anyone putting you in the hitlist will be favoring you!

Try to get to around 250 health points. This will ensure that you have enough health to take enough hits needed for 50 experience points. If your health is lower and your character cannot take enough hits, then you will not take the maximum benefit. You will not be getting all the free experience points that you possibly can get.

Do not try to get your health higher than 300 points. This will go against you. You will not die after getting the maximum points from riding the hitlist. Not dying is bad for you. Ideally, you should get the maximum experience points and should die after that. This is the only way to exit a hitlist. And, in case you do not already know, you can only be on one hitlist at a time. This means that if your character does not die after getting the maximum points, then you are wasting time, as you will not be able to exit the hitlist and ride the next hitlist.

Final Fantasy 14: Masteries, Leveling, and What to Expect

What Did the Beta Teach us?
So here we are. first release of FFXIV already the community is filling with impressions, videos, reviews and information regarding the newest incarnation of out most beloved Final Fantasy series.
So what are the impressions? Let's start from the top.
First off, true to the Final Fantasy style, XIV has done everything it can to maintain it's individuality. It differs from XI at every possible opportunity from it's crafting to it's leveling, and even the looks and feel of the characters and mobs.
They say that the game is non-leveling, but this is not entirely true. Your progression is based on improvements over time, and your comprehension of skills is based around two tiers.
Your physical tier is your common trait. This is your base character level, and it increases through every action you do.
The second tier is you customization tier. These are your job skills, weapon specializations, spells, etc. It allows for a great deal of customization, and unlimited replayability. To get good with that sword will take more than just adding strength points... it will actually take upping a skill to use it right. The skill is upped by using the weapon, or activating your 'job' before a battle.
Customization skills are not just limited to weapons, however. This is also where you find your crafting and farming skills, as well as your health and mana bonuses. The options for customization truly are endless.
The leveling of these skills is done through tactical points. The more you use that sword, or craft that item, the better your character will get. Compare this, for all you older school players, to Runescape. The leveling system is markedly similar.
What this will mean, however, is that the game has high-grind potential as you catch a skill up later in the game. After all, you can't take on a level 50 boss with a weapon you've only skilled to level 1. Back to the starter areas you go.
In this case, however, tactical point increases have been buffed from Final Fantasy XI, making the grind much less daunting.
This leads use directly into the next focus: Combat.
Final Fantasy XIV fighting is done in real time... sort of. Participants have a stamina bar. When that stamina bar is full, the player can perform an action. Attack, cast, etc. How fast you recharge, and how hard you hit is determined by your weapon or spell skill level, as much as the myriad of other skills available within the game.
This, of course, is my proficencies are so important for the players. Pick up a bow and DON'T PUT IT DOWN until it's maxed out. Period. It'll be tempting to use that epic axe, but don't. Always always always have a weapon of choice, or you will find yourself a jack of all trades, master of none. Not a good place in a game this customizable. Note in the above video that the player has foregone weapons in favour of fists?
There is a reason for that, and reason is in the skills it has leveled.
If it seems complicated, it is. It will be very easy to find your character without the necessary skills, and grind out the tech points needed to catch up. To avoid this, tap into the knowledge of those who played the beta by checking out the bottom of this page.
So how does it look?
Delightful. Beautiful. Fantastic. Incredible. Want more?
Vibrant. Incredible. The textures, camera motion, follow cam and combat animations are flawless. The progression from the early days to now is incredible. Kudos to the artists that put this together. You have outdone yourselves.
Crafting
Possibly the most important part of any MMORPG, aside from the combat, is the crafting system it employs. We've already covered technical points and skills above so I'll forgo those. This system, however deserves a section of it's own because THIS is where you'll make you money. And, as we all know, money makes the world go around.
Crafting is best done by a class called Discipline of the Land. This class is able to locate and farm needed mats through their map, and possess an innate skill to make farming those mats easier. They also have the ability to increase the drop rates on certain mobs, making your trek through the crafting ranks that much easier. Personally, I'm expecting this to create a steady stream of alt characters, and for good reason.
This market is going to be huge.
To start crafting, choose a specialty. Armor, herbalism, weapons, it doesn't matter. Choose one to specialize in, and level it as fast as possible. The goal, as always, is to be able to craft your own, and everyone elses gear faster and at higher levels than your competitors.
There are those who were in the beta who already mastered this. They have compiled their knowledge, and are offering it here, in the first wave of strategy guides for FFXIV. This guide will get you caught up almost instantly, and makes things very simple. I would suggest checking out the site and, if you're planning on hitting up Final Fintasy XIV for any length of time, and get it in your possession.
How to Get Up to Speed

Looking Towards Release
The Windows version of FFXIV released September, 2010. There is a planned PS3 release for March 31st 2011. No matter which platform you play on, this one promises to be amazing.
